Australian Standard
The glass behind every project matters.
GlazedFrog was the first and, to our knowledge, the only certified glazier in Vietnam to obtain AS2208 and AS/NZS 4666 certifications. Our logo sits in the bottom right corner of every piece of glass as a stamp of compliance and quality. With third-party independent certification, Global Mark inspectors, and annual audits of our orders, buying a Thien Phu x Glazed Frog product ensures it is manufactured exactly as the standards require.
From safety glazing to insulating glass units, the documentation behind the glass provides confidence that the product specified is supported by recognised testing and certification.
An insulating glass unit relies on more than the glass itself. The spacer, seals, materials and manufacturing process must work together to create a durable sealed unit. AS 4666:2012 sets requirements and guidance for long-term type testing, glazing and ongoing manufacturing testing of IGUs.
Insulating Glass
✓ Sealed unit integrity - the glass, spacer and sealant system work together as a complete insulating glass unit.
✓ Long-term type testing - AS 4666 includes requirements for assessing long-term IGU performance.
✓ Glazing requirements —- the Standard includes requirements and guidance relating to glazing and IGU construction.
IGU Construction
✓ Periodic production testing - manufacturing performance is checked through ongoing testing requirements.
✓ Consistent production - documented processes help ensure certified IGUs continue to be produced to the required specification.
✓ Traceable construction - certified IGU configurations can identify the glass substrates, spacer and sealant systems covered by the certification scope.
Manufacturing Quality
Safety Glazing
✓ Impact safety - tested to demonstrate safe performance when subjected to human impact.
✓ Controlled breakage - toughened glass is designed to break into smaller fragments rather than large sharp pieces.
✓ Building applications - suitable for safety-critical glazing applications where compliant safety glass is required.
Toughened Safety Glass
Safety glazing is designed to reduce the risk of serious cutting and piercing injuries when glass is impacted or broken. AS 2208:2023 sets out the testing requirements for safety glazing materials used in buildings.
✓ Impact protection - laminated glass is tested as a safety glazing material under AS 2208:2023.
✓ Glass retention - the interlayer helps retain broken glass after impact, reducing the risk of loose sharp fragments.
✓ Safety glazing applications - suitable for building locations requiring compliant laminated safety glass.
