Set in Rawai, Phuket, the project evolved into three individual villas, each sharing the same architectural language while being shaped around the people who would live there. Mediterranean forms, clean white walls, warm timber and deep shaded outdoor spaces were reinterpreted for Phuket’s tropical climate, creating homes that feel relaxed, private and naturally connected to their surroundings.

Glazed Frog became part of that story through the project’s glazing package.

Throughout the villas, glass helps create the transition between the calm interior spaces and the tropical landscape beyond. Rather than treating glazing simply as something that closes an opening, it becomes part of the way the architecture is experienced, bringing light into the home and strengthening the relationship between indoor living, terraces, gardens and pool areas.

With three villas sharing approximately 80% of their design elements, the project also required consistency across repeated architectural components while still allowing each home to retain its own identity.

For Glazed Frog, Kokyang Villa represents what glazing can contribute to tropical residential architecture: not simply a view through a window, but a stronger connection between the home and the environment around it.
