Hilltops Young High School Library was created to be more than a place for books. It was designed as a place where a school and an entire community could come together.

Set on a site rich with Wiradjuri and colonial history, the new library brings learning, culture, creativity and community life under one roof. Within this story, light and transparency became an important part of the architecture.

Glazed Frog delivered the glazing and door package that helps shape the building’s open and welcoming character. Extensive architectural glazing forms a major part of the external façade, allowing natural light to move deep into the building while creating visual connections between the learning spaces, community areas and the landscape beyond.

From the outside, large areas of glass soften the boundary between the building and Carrington Park. From within, the glazing creates bright, connected spaces where students, families and the wider community can see and experience the building as one shared environment.

For Glazed Frog, Young High School represents what glazing can contribute to public architecture. Not simply enclosing a building, but helping create a place that feels open, accessible and connected to the people it was built for.
